On August 19th, RVK volunteered at Medical Teams International (MTI) – a nonprofit charitable organization that brings critical medical supplies to those in need throughout the world. Headquartered in Tigard, Oregon, their mission is to provide refugee medical care, assist with disaster relief, and empower communities in the countries they serve—including Bangladesh, Uganda, Lebanon, Tanzania, Colombia, and Ukraine. The RVK team toured one of their “Mobile Dental Clinic” vans, which travel throughout the state of Oregon bringing free medical care to those in need. The RVK team also toured their “Real Life Exhibit” and saw firsthand the incredible impact that MTI is having all over the world. To conclude our volunteer event, the team spent two hours packing medical supplies into boxes for shipment to various countries. RVK is proud of the longstanding partnership we have with MTI and looks forward to future volunteer opportunities with the organization.
